It’s time to Row the Coast!

Maine has the 4th longest coastline of all 50 states. We are attempting to “row” that coastline! Yup, you heard it right.  From Kittery to Calais is 5,597,000 meters. Why? Because we are aiming to turn those meters into dollars to buy new equipment- we need new grips for our currents sets of oars. We need new oars to replace some very, very old oars that are beyond repair! Our Varsity and Club teams and numerous Masters rowers have been on the ergs training all winter and spring for the on-the -water season which starts May 4th. Please make a donation now to reward them for meters already rowed or your dollars can challenge them to row more because in this case dollars equals meters.

Want to join the effort?

Make a donation to help us reach our goal. Every little bit counts! Each dollar represents 1000 meters, and $100 buys 100,000 meters! $200 buys 200,000 meters! You get the idea. Help us sprint to our$5,597 goal to buy new oars and other vital equipment!

You can email your meters to row@megunticookrowing. org   Let them know if you will be rowing as an individual or to whom you would like to donate your meters. If you want to join a team, please include in your email the other team members names. Then spread the word to help fundraise. You can even just share this link on your social media page. rtc.megunticookrowing.org

Thank you! Like rowing it’s a team effort!

About

Who

Open to all of Megunticook Rowing members and their family and friends! You can signup as an individual or gather together a team as a fundraiser! Get your  friends and family to support your efforts by sending out this funding request.

What

All meters rowed in January-April will be recorded. The Varisty and Club teams will be submitting meters to their coaches. Your Concept 2 rowing machines track all of your meters – you can look up your monthly totals and then submit to row@megunticookrowing.org.

Those of us erging will be sending fundraising requests to support the effort.

Where/How

You can log meters from your erg at home, come to MRC on Tuesday or Thursdays 330-5pm (bonus that you take part in the Varsity team’s practice or you can do our own workout.) It’s been a warm spring so your on the water meters count, too.

Why

When we work together we can go further… and inspire each other! Dollars raised will be used to purchase new oars!
